I joined iBeat as the first dedicated solo Senior iOS App Engineer to build out core features of the app in preparation for the launch of the company's smartwatch product. As a pre-seed stage member of the team, I was responsible for working with different executives to define and implement new features like our Defibrillator Finder. Because we were a small team, I had the opportunity to work on different parts of our tech stack including the backend services that supported the mobile app.
Heart Hero is a free mobile app that empowers everyday citizens to save lives by learning and practicing CPR via short and easy-to-follow videos and tutorials. The Defibrillator Finder feature enables you to locate the nearest AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and get directions from your location to an AED during an emergency.
